If you’re travelling from the Swindon, Oxford or Newbury direction, we recommend using the A417 as it’s a much bigger road and easier to navigate with a motorhome. Often Sat Navs will try and bring you in from the B4507, but this road can be fairly narrow and windy in a lot of places. The A417 is a much wider, bigger road.

Using Sat Nav

If you’re using SatNav, set it to navigate to the postcode OX12 9RY. As you are approaching the “destination”, the SatNav will tell you to take a narrow track (with an overgrown hedge on your right-hand side) past St. Nicholas Primary School. This is the correct route. The road is narrow and a bit bumpy, but if you take it easy, you’ll be fine. We regularly have 18T lorries delivering on this route, so you should be fine in your motorhome.

When your Sat Nav says, “you’ve reached your destination, you should have just passed St. Nicholas school on the track, and you should continue down the track that you are on. You’ll have a field on either side of you and continue driving for about 400 meters. You’ll go past a clump of trees about in the middle of the track.  Finally, you’ll get to another clump of trees with a road to the right. You should have a sign on your right-hand side that says “Cornhill Farm”. Turn right down the track, through an open gate, towards a barn building. Go to the right of the barn, and you’ll be outside of the Offgrid Workshop.

Coming in from the A417

(Route 1 is shown in red below)

If you’re coming in from the A417, you’ll turn onto Letcombe Hill, then immediately turn right onto Hedge Hill Road. This will take you through a housing estate, and you’ll do a big loop, and Hedge Hill Road eventually becomes Sarajac Avenue. You then turn right onto an unnamed track (with an overgrown hedge on your right-hand side) that goes past St. Nicholas School (on your right-hand side).

You should continue down the track that you are on. You’ll have a field on either side of you and continue driving for about 400 meters. You’ll go past a clump of trees about in the middle of the track.  Finally, you’ll get to another clump of trees with a road to the right. You should have a sign on your right-hand side that says Cornhill Farm. Turn right down the track, through an open gate, towards a barn building. Go to the right of the barn, and you’ll be outside of the Offgrid Workshop.

Coming in from the B4507

(Route 2 is shown in blue below)

If you’re coming in from the B4507, you’ll turn onto Vicarage Hill and have the Challow & Childrey Cricket Club on your right-hand side. You take the first left onto High View and then turn right at the end of the road onto Windmill Place. You then take the next left (roughly 300m) onto an unnamed track (with an overgrown hedge on your right-hand side) that goes past St.
