Electrical Installation Services

Do you keep running out of power in your old lead acid batteries?

Would you like the ability to go offgrid for a few days/a week without worrying about power?

Do you want the ability to be offgrid without needing to start your engine to charge your battery a bit?

Well you’ve come to the right place. We’ve been installing electric systems into motorhomes for over a decade and have optimised how to retrofit cutting edge chargers and electrical components into motorhome systems with our lithium batteries.

Bellow we have a few estimates for labour costs to implement the different types of chargers and systems that we offer.

DC to DC Chargers (B2B)

Installing DC to DC chargers is fairly straight forward, but depends on the van. Generally speaking, newer vans (e.g. 2015 onwards) have reasonably substantial wiring so you would probably be able to piggyback on the existing wiring and install a Victron Orion 30A DC to DC charger. Being able to piggyback on existing wiring and adapting it to your install reduces the amount of work and therefore cost involved.

An average DC to DC install would cost around £250 in labour, plus the cost of the part(s).

VanBitz Battery Master

If you’d like us to install a VanBitz Battery Master, we charge £150 all in at our workshop or can provide remote installs. If you’d like a quote for a remote install, please get in touch.

Solar Systems

Installing a Solar System depends on a few things:

  • how many solar panels you need

  • how easy it is to lay the wiring from the roof of your van, through the trim and furniture, to where the solar charge controller/battery are

An average Solar System install would cost around £400 in labour, plus the cost of the part(s). This is to install 200w of solar panels and solar charge controller.

Inverters

When it comes to installing Inverters, the most complicated task is tying it into your existing plug sockets. This is not impossible, but sometimes it just takes a fair amount of work and effort to do. Tying the Inverter into your plug sockets is the best way to install them, however some customers opt for a simple install of a single plug socket linked to the inverter so they can run 240v appliances offgrid, but without the cost of tying the inverter into all of the sockets in their van.

An average Inverter install would cost around £300 in labour, plus the cost of the part(s).

Inverter Chargers

Inverter Chargers like the Victron Multiplus is the top of the range option for inverters. They allow automatic cutover between EHU and your battery, without having to flick a switch or do anything.

An average Inverter Charger install would cost around £400 in labour, plus the cost of the part(s).

Full Offgrid x Victron Systems

An average Full Offgrid x Victron System install would cost around £800 in labour, plus the cost of the part(s).

Mobile Installs

We offer mobile installs if you’d like us to come to you. We charge £150 on top of our standard hourly rate for a call out within 50 miles of OX12 9RZ. After the first £50, we charge £1 per mile on top of our standard hourly rate. If you’d like us to do a mobile install or fitting for you, please get in touch and we can give you a full quote.
